Mr. Miller is the Head of School at Cathedral High School. He is ultimately responsible for all that happens at Cathedral, and with his Administrative Team, he oversees all aspects of the school’s life. His primary responsibilities include staffing (both faculty and administrative staff), fundraising, and being the “public face” of Cathedral High School. He is committed to being present to the students and their families and to the faculty through an “open door” policy. He is liaison to the Diocesan Schools Office and the Bishop of Springfield.
Mr. Miller taught English at Cathedral High School from 1973–1987. He left to work in the Southwick Public Schools, eventually rising to Assistant Principal at Southwick High School. He is married and lives in Springfield with his wife. Their older two children are Cathedral graduates and their youngest is a member of Cathedral’s Class of 2008. Mr. Miller holds Massachusetts certification in English and Secondary School Administration.
Mr. Miller’s academic background is: B.A., University of Massachusetts; M.A., The Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College; CAGS, Westfield State College. He is a member of the National Assoc. of Secondary School Principals, National Catholic Education Assoc.(NCEA), New England Assoc. of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and the Assoc. of Supervision and Curriculum Development. |
