Mr. McBride is principally responsible for the academic program at Cathedral High School. He serves as Dean of Faculty and coordinates all aspects of the academic calendar. Mr. McBride oversees the development of the school calendar and, together with Mr. Miller, he supervises the faculty through classroom observations and reviews. He also co-chairs the Academic Council (committee of departmental chairs) and takes special interest in the mentoring of young faculty. In addition, Mr. McBride is an important advocate for students and parents within the school.
Mr. McBride is a 1965 graduate of Cathedral High School, and taught
at Cathedral for four years in the mid-1970’s. He then moved
to Ohio and taught at Catholic secondary schools in Columbus and
Akron. He served as Associate Principal at Walsh Jesuit High School
for 15 years. Mr. McBride is married and has two grown children.
Mr. McBride and his wife live in Enfield, CT.
His academic background is: B.A., Siena College; M.A., St. Joseph’s College; M.A. (Educational Admin.), Ursuline College. Mr. McBride holds an Ohio Certification as a Secondary School Administrator and a New York State Certification to teach Social Studies. |
