Diocesan Requirements for Catholic families
- Must be an active member of a Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Springfield, that is, attends Mass and financially supports the parish
- Must demonstrate financial need within the Diocesan guidelines
- Must complete a new application form each year
The awarding of Diocesan Financial Aid involves consulting the pastor with regard to membership and financial support of the parish (family is of good standing within their parish). Award letters are sent to families and the student names are sent to the Cathedral with the amount of financial aid awarded. The “normal” amount of aid given to a high school student can be as high as $1,200.
Financial aid is available to children of teachers in our Diocesan Schools and is separate from other assistance programs.
