Financial Aid Information

General Information
Cathedral High School offers confidential need based financial aid to families that apply and qualify.

The Diocese of Springfield also offers need based financial aid to qualifying Catholic families with children attending Cathedral and other Catholic schools in the Diocese. Verification of active membership in a Diocesan parish is required before an award can be made.

Both Cathedral High School and the Diocese of Springfield utilize FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, a third party financial need analysis firm. The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment is a single, easy to follow form, used to apply for financial aid consideration from both the Cathedral High School and the Diocesan financial aid programs.

Filing Deadline for Financial Aid is March 15, 2011!
To ensure adequate consideration, applicants are encouraged to apply on time! Depending on demand for resources, families applying after the March 15, 2010 deadline may not be eligible for awards or may receive reduced awards!

Save Time, Apply Online
Applying online is the fastest and most direct method of submitting your application. Online filing allows Cathedral and the Diocese to view your application electronically within minutes of submission. Apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com.

Application Process
In order to be considered for a financial aid award,

  • Families must complete an application called the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment form. Families may use the traditional form available at Cathedral High School or apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com.
  • The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment must be filed annually.
  • Paper application and supporting documents must be mailed directly to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, PO Box 5688, Lincoln, NE 68505, along with a $20 application fee in the envelope provided.
  • Filing Deadline for Financial Aid is March 15, 2010!

Awarding of Financial Aid
Financial Aid awards will be made by late May 2010 and in most cases will be reflected on the initial billing statements for the upcoming school year. Award notification letters are mailed to recipients. Non-qualifying applicants are also provided notification by letter.
