The Office of Advancement

The Office of Advancement is responsible for the school’s fundraising policies and programs. Responsibilities include the management of programs for annual giving, capital campaigns, major giving and planned giving. In addition to contributions from alumni we also receive gifts from corporations, foundations, faculty, staff, trustees, parents and friends of Catholic education.

The Advancement office manages both donor relations and gift accounting. It also operates special events throughout the year including a Golf Tournament, Annual Dinner and Award’s Night and the Student Raffle.

We invite you to browse our website. We will keep you updated on all the new initiatives taking place at Cathedral. The Cathedral community appreciates your support as the school strives to fulfill its mission to educate the whole person spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically to accept full citizenship in the world.

Funds that you can contribute to:

  • Annual Fund Campaign: These funds are unrestricted operational funds that are used as the Board of Trustees, in consultation with the Administration, deem necessary. Donations will be marked as given by a specific constituency: parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, trustees, friends and others.

  • St. Joseph's Tuition Assistance Fund: These special purpose gifts temporarily are restricted. The funds will be used to assist families of students with tuition cost at Cathedral High School.

  • CHS General Endowment Fund: These special purpose gifts are permanently restricted. The funds are used to build an endowment fund at Cathedral. The administration and Board of Trustees decide annually where the interest earned on the investment of these funds is to be used.
