It’s here! The eagerly anticipated library computer network is a reality.

The new system consists of a central server and 23 Micron Pentium III computer workstations. Each computer has a 13 Gig. Hard Drive, 128 MB RAM and a 17” high-resolution monitor. A high-speed HP Laser Printer, available to each station via the network connection, prints a minimum of 22 pages per minute.

All workstations have Internet access.  Each station provides Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and FrontPage. Users can search the Library Catalogue for a book, magazine, video or audiotape using Spectrum 5, the recently installed library automation program. This program brings CHS current with the newest library technology available.  In addition to the Library Catalogue, students and teachers can access more than 295 magazines using EBSCO, an on-line subscription service.

Remote access to a variety of research services is available to Cathedral student's and staff. A Username and Password are required. These are available to you at the CHS Circulation Desk.
