  Music Department Goals   french horn

The music department goals are to equip the students with the skills and opportunities to be an active participant in the making of music—vocal and/or instrumental.

The purposes and objectives of the Music Department are clearly articulated in the curriculum. Students experience aesthetic, humanistic, and musical benefits as a result of instruction in this subject area. They learn about music by making and experiencing music together. Students are exposed to music from the Renaissance to the present time.

All students in the Music Department will be able to: understand music in relationship to history and cultures; comfortably perform music in a public setting; understand the relationship between music and other arts and disciplines; converse in language needed to discuss and ;make music.
